The National Congress of Black Women – Kansas City Chapter invites you to stand with us as we prepare for our 12th Anniversary of The Ebony Rose Scholarship & Awards Gala, taking place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown in the Imperial Ballroom at 6:00 p.m. 

This year, we proudly celebrate a powerful milestone: 12 years of empowering dreams and transforming lives in Greater Kansas City. Through this annual Gala, we uplift students with $1,000 scholarships, honor community trailblazers, and continue our work to advance education, equity, and opportunity for those who need it most.

At NCBW-KC, we believe that when you invest in people—you change everything. Our scholarship recipients include high school seniors and non-traditional adult learners who are pushing past barriers to pursue brighter futures. With your help, we can ensure they are not just seen but supported.

Hosted by Brya Berry, KMBC 9 News Anchor & Reporter, we are honored to have Mikah Thompson, Associate Dean and Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law as our keynote speaker. The evening will start with a complimentary cocktail reception with entertainment, light hors d’oeuvres and drinks, followed by delectable dishes, silent and Live auctions, music, dancing and much more.
