The dress code for the gala is black tie or formal.

This year, we proudly celebrate a powerful milestone: 13 years of empowering dreams and transforming lives in Greater Kansas City. Through this annual Gala, we uplift students with $1,000 scholarships, honor community trailblazers, and continue our work to advance education, equity, and opportunity for those who need it most.

At NCBW-KC, we believe that when you invest in people—you change everything. Our scholarship recipients include high school graduating seniors and non-traditional adult learners who are pushing past barriers to pursue brighter futures. With your help, we can ensure they are not just seen but supported. The evening continues with honoring Merideth Rose, President & Chief Executive Officer, Cornerstones of Care, Judge Rhonda Mason, Johnson County Kansas District Court and the Housing and Community Development Department (HCDD) at The City of Kansas City.

Hosted by international speaker and média coach, Monique Shurray, a native of Harlem, New York who has made Kansas City her home, will bring her irresistible energy, charm and elegance to the evening. We are honored to have Andrea J. Dixon-Seahorn, Ed.D., former educator and founder and principal consultant of Inspired Educational Consulting, LLC as our keynote speaker. The evening will start with a complimentary cocktail reception and Live entertainment, light hors d’oeuvres and drinks, followed by delectable dishes, auction, music, dancing and much more.

We are seeking generous partners who share our commitment to community and long-term impact. Enclosed is our Sponsorship Package, detailing the many ways you can align with our mission and help us keep dreams within reach. NCBW-KC is a federal and state 501 (c) 3 Tax Exempt, Charitable Organization. Federal ID #93-2587519; Missouri State ID #22069445.
