Are you concerned about what's happening with the climate and nature, and how communities can respond?

Join us for a screening of the People's Emergency Briefing, a powerful film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts who discuss the latest evidence and why it matters for our daily lives. They also explain what can be done to improve the situation.

The film explores the impacts we're already seeing on areas of life including extreme weather, food security, health issues and the cost of living.

It also helps us to understand the challenges so that we can respond together – as neighbours, communities and citizens.

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster, which was featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times. It's hosted by Chris Packham, and includes appearances by Deborah Meaden, Konnie Huq, Jennifer Saunders, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, and a range of people from across the UK.

After the screening we'll hold a short facilitated open discussion about what all this means for Hitchin and the surrounding area, how communities from across the UK are responding, and what positive local actions we can take together.

Similar events are happening all over the country, and they are open to everyone aged 16 and over.

Everyone is welcome: the church has ramps, an accessible toilet and a hearing loop.

Seats are free, but please book in advance because numbers are limited.
