Tidy Up Tinside - Community Cove Restoration Day

Tinside Cove is a crucial part of Plymouth's history, culture and future, and are right on the shores of the UK's first National Marine Park. This iconic heritage site isn’t just a spot on the map; it is a living testament to Plymouth's rich culture. But, like any gem, it needs a bit of polishing now and then. That's where you come in! We are rallying a team of keen volunteers to uplift these areas.

We are on a mission to break down the barriers that people have to access the water. What better way to do that than with a massive ‘Tidy up Tinside’ volunteering event on the 3rd of May? Bask in the views of the Sound, surrounded by like-minded individuals and friends from your community, all driven to revamp Tinside Cove. The powerhouse team of volunteers will tackle everything from trimming unruly weeds to laying fresh licks of paint and much more!

Throughout the day, we will be completing path and vegetation maintenance, cleaning graffiti from areas, and litter picking the Cove and Waterfront area.

Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for working outdoors (as well as comfortable shoes). If possible, please wear steel toe capped shoes. Please also remember to bring a reusable water bottle and sun protection! Please note that no prior experience of any of the above tasks is required. PSNMP rangers will be leading the day, so can support volunteers at any point.

Tea's, coffee's and biscuits will be supplied.
