Beach clean and rockpool
Join the NMP rangers on a beach clean then rockpool at Teats Hill on Thursday 16th February 15:00-17:00 (What 3 words is ///heap.wells.wells). The litter picked up on the beach clean session will go towards Preventing Plastics Pollution database, where research is going in to stopping plastics pollution at its source. We will then do a small rockpool session where we will be finding what lives in the water nearby. Possible sightings could include crabs, starfish, pipefish, rocklings and gobies. This will also be a great opportunity to talk to the ranger team about the development of the National Marine Park and what opportunities are available to the area.
You will need:
- Appropriate clothing and footwear for weather (boots or wellies preferred!)
- If you have equipment please do feel free to bring it along, but it is not necessary as gloves etc will be provided.
