The Green Communities team are hosting a bat detecting event at Ford Park Cemetery with Devon Bat Group. This is as a part of our ongoing mission to bring light the amazing wildlife that can be found in your local cemetery.
The event will start at 6:30pm. Paula from Devon Bat Group will be doing a short presentation on bats, and their importance to the ecosystems, and how we can help them. We will then head out with bat detectors to identify bats using echolocation. No experience is needed to join us, everyone is welcome!
Please note, we will be walking on very uneven ground, in low light, so please wear suitable footwear, clothing and appropriate weather protection. If you have a head torch or hand torch, feel free to bring this as the sun will be going down.
All ages welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult)
Not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs as the terrain is uneven and will be poorly lit.
If you have any questions, please email jess.jordan@nationaltrust.org.uk
See you there!
