After Franz Kafka
Directed by Ameera Conrad
THE TRIAL is a bold, contemporary adaptation of Franz Kafka's classic novel. Joseph K is an ordinary man who wakes to find himself accused of an unnamed crime, then pulled into a legal machine where every answer creates more questions. Darkly comic and surreal, the play uses chorus, music and satire to explore surveillance, bureaucracy, paranoia, power and the fight to hold onto your voice inside a system designed to silence you.
