Dowell Ranch - Two Part Paper Mache Class Series

Join us at Dowell Ranch for a series of two indoor classes where we’ll learn how to make Upcycled Paper-Mache Bird Ornaments. Led by board member Rachel Rommel-Crump, we’ll chat about grassland birds, why prairie conservation is important to these birds, and you’ll choose a bird species you’d like to create using this fun, traditional art medium.

August 11th, 2024 - 9 am – 12 pm

In this first class we’ll form the base of our bird ornaments using upcycled materials. The following week you’ll continue to add paper-mache layers on your ornament at home to be prepared for the second class.

August 18th, 2024 - 9 am – 12 pm

We’ll come back in this second class to sand and paint our paper-mache birds.

The cost to attend both days is $30 per person.
