Dowell Ranch - November Volunteer Workday

Fall planting season is here, and we’re digging in at Dowell Ranch to support native habitat restoration. With a wonderful donation of native grasses and forbs from Native Plant Society of Texas, San Marcos Discovery Center and rescued plant from local prairies, we’re set to bring new life to restoration plots around the ranch. Planting now gives these species time to establish roots before winter.

Grab your gardening gloves and trowel, and come lend a hand as we dig, plant, and nurture these fall additions into the ecosystem. Volunteering in these plantings means you’ll have the chance to witness your hard work grow and become part of Dowell Ranch’s ongoing restoration efforts.
