Deer Park Prairie Workday

Join us for a workday at Deer Park Prairie.

We will dive right into hands-on conservation efforts to protect and maintain this remarkable prairie remnant. We'll start at 9:00 AM, work until noon, enjoy a provided lunch, and continue with more activities while exploring the prairie in the afternoon. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Deer Park Prairie's ecosystem and the ongoing efforts to manage invasive grasses and woody species.

Work activities include using loppers and hand saws to cut woody plants, treating stems with herbicide and clearing debris. 

Be prepared with sturdy shoes, a water bottle, hat, and sun protection. All necessary tools will be provided.
