Before the World Got Loud - honouring your inner child

There was a version of you, before all of this.

Before the roles accumulated. Before you learned what was expected of you. Before the world taught you to be sensible, acceptable, and small. There was a girl who knew things...who felt things fully, who played without self-consciousness, who had not yet learned to doubt herself.

She is still there.

This circle is a tender, gentle invitation to reconnect with that younger part of yourself. Not to dwell in the past, or to revisit anything overwhelming. Simply to meet her,  with the compassion, understanding, and warmth that perhaps wasn't always available to her at the time.

You might find something lighter than you expected. A memory of joy, of freedom, of a self that felt more whole. Or you might find something that needs a little tending. Either way, the circle is a safe and supported space to be with whatever arrives.

In this circle, we will:

  • Settle into the body and arrive into the late summer stillness
  • Explore the inner child through gentle, meditation
  • Work with a creative ritual to reconnect with and honour your younger self
  • Reflect on what she needed — and what you can offer her now
  • Rest in community with women who understand the quiet work of healing

Who this circle is for:

Women who sense that somewhere along the way, a part of them got left behind. Women who find it easier to care for others than to tend to themselves. Women who are curious about the inner child but have never had a gentle space to explore it.

This is not a therapy session, and you do not need to have experienced significant difficulty in childhood to find this evening meaningful. The inner child is simply the part of us that formed earliest, and that still, quietly, shapes how we move through the world.

If any part of you is ready to turn toward her with a little more kindness, you will feel at home here.

What to bring:

A journal, a pen, and anything that helps you feel held or cosy. Hot chocolate will be provided.

Your host:

Kim, a mindful space holder, wellbeing guide, and nature based practitioner. Kim has been facilitating her circles for over two years, offering support, connection, and a grounded return to self.

You are welcome to arrive exactly as you are. Spaces are limited to keep the circle intimate. Booking is essential.

About Women's Circles:

Women's circles are sacred spaces that bring together women of diverse backgrounds and experiences, fostering connection, support, and empowerment. Rooted in ancient traditions and embraced by modern communities, these circles provide a nurturing environment for women to share, reflect, and grow. Guided by principles of trust, compassion, and non-judgment, women's circles offer a sanctuary where participants can explore their authentic selves, celebrate their strengths, and navigate life's challenges collectively. Through shared wisdom, ritual, and communal energy, women's circles become transformative gatherings, cultivating a sense of sisterhood, resilience, and the profound understanding that, together, women can create positive ripples of change in their lives and beyond.

Important Note on Emotional Safety

Please be aware that these Women's Circles are tender, reflective, and non-therapeutic spaces. During meditations, writing exercises, or sharing, it's possible that past emotions, memories, or trauma may arise. While the circle is held with care and compassion, this is not a substitute for professional therapy or mental health support.

By choosing to attend, you acknowledge that:

  • You are participating voluntarily.
  • You understand and accept the possibility of emotional release or difficult feelings.
  • You agree to take care of your own boundaries, and to step back or pause at any time if emotions feel overwhelming.
  • You acknowledge that the facilitator is not a licensed mental health professional and that referrals for further support may be offered if needed.

If you have significant trauma history, are currently experiencing emotional distress, or are under the care of a mental health professional, I encourage you to reach out and discuss your suitability before attending.

Thank you for your courage in showing up. Your emotional safety and well-being matter deeply.
