River Ara Bat and Wildlife Walk

Explore the Bat and wildife species that inhabit the area along the beautiful River Ara Walkway during biodiversity week. This event is led by John Armstrong and Albert Nolan from Nature Network Ireland.

Date: 22 May 2026

Time: 9.15pm - 11.15pm

Venue: River Ara Walkway.

Find out about some of the mysteries of our nocturnal mammals and creatures.  Learn about Irelands Bat species and come to understand how these insectivores feed and operate using echolocation.

 This walk will be suitable for all ages and will follow the path along the River Ara Walkway. 

• Warm water-proof clothing and sturdy footwear is advised.  If possible also bring a torch.
• Meeting Point - Bennetts Super Value car park, Station Road, Tipperary Town.
• Duration: 1-2 hours
