Carnatic Music
Carnatic music is a classical music tradition from South India, known for its rich melodic structure (ragas) and rhythmic patterns (talas). It places a strong emphasis on vocal music, even when played on instruments, and often involves compositions by saints like Thyagaraja and Muthuswami Dikshitar. Improvisation and devotion are key elements of this art form.
Bhakti Geete
Bhakti Geete are devotional songs sung in praise of deities, reflecting love and surrender to the divine. These songs are typically simple, melodic, and emotionally resonant.
