21 June 10.30 – 12.00 ONLINE

Why?

“ VCSE partnerships should be embedded in how the ICS operates, including through involvement in governance structures, in population health management and service redesign work, in system workforce, leadership and organisational development plans” NHSE ICS Implementation guidance

The VCSE sector plays a vital and varied role as a partner within integrated care systems (ICSs). Its value comes from direct delivery of services including specialist support and for specific groups of people, its focus on health creation and prevention, its expertise in service planning and co-production, its intelligence and insight on people and communities, its physical assets like buildings and vehicles, its passionate staff and volunteers, and its trusted relationships within seldom heard groups and different communities of interest and identity.

Over the past two years, participants of the Embedding VCSE in ICS peer support network and colleagues in the NHS have consistently raised questions about how to move from developing partnerships to truly embedded and sustainable partnerships which impact the health and wellbeing of the populations we serve, overcoming challenges including complexity, structures, culture and resourcing.

What?

This webinar aims to share learning on the topic of embedding and sustaining VCSE partnerships, identifying strategies and enablers and drawing on the experience of case studies. The purpose is to enable participants to understand:

  • Why there is a need to embed the VCSE as an equal partner and make it business as usual rather than a nice to have
  • The benefits for all partners and the challenges involved.
  • What are the enablers, strategies and possible actions for fully embedding effective partnership with the VCSE and making it real, sustainable and impactful (getting from A to B)

Who?

This webinar is likely to be of interest to people from across the NHS, local government and the VCSE sector involved in building diverse and inclusive partnerships in health and care and engaging grassroots community organisations within ICSs.
