Graceful Ghost Rag – William Bolcom
A tender, nostalgic rag in memory of the composer’s father, Graceful Ghost Rag blends the lyricism of the violin with the lilting rhythms of ragtime. Originally for piano, Bolcom’s 1981 arrangement with Sergiu Luca gives the work a wistful, chamber-music intimacy.

Trio in D Major “Ghost” – Ludwig van Beethoven
Nicknamed for its eerie slow movement—possibly inspired by Shakespeare—this 1808 trio is anything but gloomy overall. Brilliant, witty outer movements frame a haunting middle section that lingers in the imagination.
