I know this is long but please read in its entirety there is pertinent, need to know the information.  If you have any questions you can email me, Jesse Holden, at jesse3holden@gmail.com

This uphill event will challenge participants to step outside of their comfort zones while raising money for a great non-profit that has been benefiting our local community since 1937!  6 hours of the LOC will see participants climbing and descending the Lyndonville Outing club on a designated route for 6 hours.  Participants can either choose to skin up and ski down or snowshoe/hike up and down.  There will be two separate categories for those choosing to skin/ski and those choosing to snowshoe/hike.

With so many events canceled or postponed, we are excited to be able to hold a safe and super fun event!  We will have tents set up in case of inclement weather, we will also have a fire and plenty of music to keep you toasty and keep you amped for your next lap!!

100% of the proceeds from this race will go directly back to the Lyndon Outing Club so they can continue to offer incredible low-cost recreational opportunities for our local community.

IMPORTANT:

The Lyndon Outing Club is an extremely small mtn that relies on strictly all-natural snow.  March 13th is definitely teetering on the edge of having a lot of snow on the hill, but by utilizing the perimeter of the hill for the course I think that we will be fine!  So participants that choose to skin must be ready for spring skiing conditions, possibly sections where you have to remove your skis and boot pack?  We never know what the weather in the NEK is going to throw at us and if for some reason if there is just not enough snow to safely ski down, then the event will still go on as just a hiking challenge.  If this past year has taught us anything it is how to adapt on the fly, so I have no doubt that is exactly what we will do if need be!  If you have any questions email me jesse3holden@gmail.com

COVID-19 Info:

Participation:

Due to our commitment to keeping our local community safe while offering a fun outdoor event, we are limiting participation in this year's event to Vermont residents only.  Our hopes are that we will continue to hold events and will open them up to folks from all around once regulations allow and the pandemic is under control.

Spacing/face coverings:

Participants will be required to wear face coverings at all times except for when going up and down the hill.  Participants will be asked to maintain appropriate physical distancing while in the start/finish, or any other common area.

Spectators:

Due to the pandemic, we want to try to keep spectators to a minimum.  With that said we know spectators, having family around, and people hooting and hollering is what makes these events awesome!  So we ask that any spectators give participants plenty of space and wear face coverings at all times!  Our number one goal is to keep everyone safe, the second goal is to have a blast!

Food/Beverage:

We encourage folks to bring coolers and chairs so you can have your own little tailgate race snacks!  The parking is located right where the race will occur so it is the perfect set-up for us all to space out and eat whatever your favorite race fuel is.  With that said the Outing Club has offered to cook some food (hamburgers/Veg burgers/hot dogs) for purchase outside.  We will also offer some aid station snacks (in a COVID-friendly way of course).  There will be a water station at the start/finish area.
