Ausstellungs- und Diskursreihe über Intuition, Vernunft und künstlerische Erkenntnis

Die Wahrheit wird gefühlt ist eine Ausstellungs- und Diskursreihe, die das Verhältnis von Intuition und Vernunft untersucht. Ausgehend von der griechischen Philosophie von Orpheus und Eurydike sowie philosophischen Positionen von Baruch Spinoza, Novalis und Theodor W. Adorno lädt das Projekt internationale Künstler:innen ein, künstlerische Antworten auf die Frage nach innerer Wahrheit zu entwickeln. In einer Zeit digitaler Überfülle versteht diese Ausstellungsreihe – in Anlehnung an Joseph Beuys und seinem Konzept der Sozialen Plastik – als gesellschaftlichen Denkraum, in dem rationales Wissen und intuitives Erkennen miteinander in Dialog treten. Die Ausstellungen verbinden Philosophie und zeitgenössische Kunst, um neue Perspektiven auf das Zusammenspiel von Gefühl, Erkenntnis und Wirklichkeit zu eröffnen.
Die erste Ausstellung greift die griechische Philosophie von Orpheus und Eurydike auf – eine Geschichte über Vertrauen, Zweifel und den menschlichen Wunsch nach Kontrolle.
Orpheus' Blick zurück wird zum Symbol für Angst und Misstrauen gegenüber dem Unsichtbaren.
Die Wahrheit wird gefühlt präsentiert kreative interdisziplinäre Positionen, die das Zusammenspiel von Gefühl und Rationalität erforschen.
Die Ausstellungs- und Diskursreihe untersucht das Verhältnis von Intuition und Vernunft. Ausgehend von der griechischen Mythologie, Orpheus und Eurydike, bis hin zu philosophischen Positionen von Baruch Spinoza, Novalis und Theodor W. Um die Unabhängigkeit und die hohe Qualität dieses dezentralen Projekts zu sichern, finanzieren wir die Ausstellungsreihe unter anderem durch einen internationalen Open Call. Teilnahmegebühr: 29,- Euro zur Deckung der Jury- und Administrationskosten.

Exhibition and Discourse Series on Intuition, Reason and Artistic Knowledge

The Truth Is Felt is an exhibition and discourse series that examines the relationship between intuition and reason. Drawing on the Greek philosophy of Orpheus and Eurydice as well as the philosophical positions of Baruch Spinoza, Novalis and Theodor W. Adorno, the project invites international artists to develop artistic responses to the question of inner truth. In an age of digital overabundance, this exhibition series — inspired by Joseph Beuys and his concept of Social Sculpture — understands itself as a societal space for thought, where rational knowledge and intuitive perception enter into dialogue. The exhibitions connect philosophy and contemporary art to open new perspectives on the interplay of feeling, knowledge and reality.
The first exhibition draws on the Greek philosophy of Orpheus and Eurydice — a story about trust, doubt and the human desire for control.
Orpheus' glance back becomes a symbol of fear and distrust towards the invisible.
The Truth Is Felt presents creative interdisciplinary positions that explore the interplay of feeling and rationality.
