PEF 75th Anniversary Tour with Highlights from the Northern Conifer Silviculture Guide

Join the Maine Division of SAF for a tour of the Penobscot Experimental Forest in Bradley, ME to celebrate 75 years of U.S. Forest Service research and upcoming Northern Conifer Silviculture Guide. Learn about long-term and new silviculture research, operations, and wildlife considerations during a day-long visit, including field discussions with researchers and practitioners working in spruce-fir-hemlock-hardwood forests. 

Presenters include some of the authors of the Northern Conifer Silviculture Guide: Laura Kenefic and Skylar Roach, Nicole Rogers (Maine Forest Service), Keith Kanoti, Erin Simons-Legaard (University of Maine), Sarah Spencer (Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife), Cameron McIntire (Forest Service), Christina Murphy (USGS Maine Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit), and Russ Briggs (SUNY ESF, emeritus).

Lunch will be provided, and the event has been approved for 4.5 CFE credits.
