Yvonne Sloan - Author Book Signing Trail

Meet the Author! Ness Book Fest is delighted to host local Author Yvonne Sloan. Yvonne Sloan writes under the pen name Pavon James and she is the author and creator of The Frangel Trilogy. The idea for the trilogy grew from her experiences as a police officer working with families affected by domestic abuse. She became particularly aware of the children, who can so often be the forgotten victims, seeing and hearing far more than the adults around them sometimes realise. This spurred her into creating stories that were first and foremost exciting, magical adventures for children, but which could also offer hope, reassurance and ways of coping when life feels frightening or difficult. The first two books in the trilogy, Dream Walking in My Stripey World and Cosmos Way, are now published, and she is currently writing the third and final book. Through the adventures of Dawn, Danny and the Frangels, the series combines fantasy, friendship and adventure with themes of courage, resilience and discovering the strength within yourself.
