Creative Mending

This event is free to attend as it has been funded by the PKC Fairer Communities Fund.

An introduction to creative repairs and visible mending – breathe new life into old clothes, make uniquely personalised items and help your favourites bring you joy for longer!

We’ll learn how to deal with holes, rips, marks and wear-and-tear by hand and with sewing machines. The session will include exploring: patches/appliqué, reshaping and basic embroidery.

Bring items you’d like to repair if you fancy – you might fix them on the day, but if not you’ll leave with the knowledge of how to tackle them, or you can just come along to learn and practise techniques.

This session is aimed at people with some experience using sewing machines.

All sewing supplies and sewing machines supplied, plus tea and biscuits
