Air Drying Clay Mobile

Create a beautiful decorative mobile inspired by nature in this relaxed two-session workshop.

Over two weeks, you'll design and make your own hanging mobile using air dry clay, perfect for displaying near a door, window or favourite corner of your home. Using simple tools and your hands, we'll explore a variety of clay techniques to make nature-inspired forms.

Session 1 – Thursday 30 July
Design and create your clay pieces, experimenting with textures, patterns and shapes. Your pieces will then be left to dry naturally over the following week.

Session 2 – Thursday 6 August
Once your clay pieces have fully dried, we'll smooth any rough edges by sanding them. You can then add colour with paints and a protective varnish if you wish. Finally, we'll assemble and string the pieces together to create your unique decorative mobile ready to take home.

No previous experience is needed – just bring your creativity and enjoy the process of making something beautiful by hand.

Please note that sanding creates dust, so you may wish to bring an apron, or one can be provided.

Light refreshments are included and over 12 years can attend with a participating adult.
