This class is run over 2 full days on 2 non-consecutive dates: Saturday 4th July and Saturday 18th July, 10.30 - 4.30.
Join our experienced sewing tutor Clemmie for a relaxed and creative sewing class where you’ll learn how to make your own pair of dungarees and follow a commercial pattern. Suitable for improvers, this workshop will guide you through reading a pattern, cutting fabric, fitting, sewing seams, adding pockets and straps, and finishing your garment with professional touches.
By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a unique handmade pair of dungarees and the confidence to tackle future garment projects on your own. Tea, creativity and plenty of encouragement included.
What you need to bring
You'll need to buy a copy of the pattern we'll be using in your own size: Simplicity Paper Sewing Pattern 9590.
Bring along the pattern and your own chosen sturdy fabric or if you prefer to reuse fabric, you could use old curtains or other sturdy textiles to give materials a new life and reduce waste. Creating handmade clothing from reused materials is a brilliant way to build sewing skills while making more sustainable choices. Make sure to get interfacing and the "notions" (buckes, buttons) you want to add.

There will be a break mid way through the day, so please bring something for your lunch.
Cancellation Policy
Once your fee is paid, your place will be reserved for both days. Should you need to cancel you will receive a full refund if you cancel up to 7 days before the initial start date. If you cancel within 7 days of the initial start date you will only be refunded if we are able to fill the space.
