This event is free to attend as it has been funded by the PKC Fairer Communities Fund.
This class is run on 2 consecutive dates: Sunday 19th July and Sunday 26th July, 10.00 - 4.00.
Experiment with clothes! In this sewing course we’ll explore alterations and transformations, bringing new life to old clothes. We’ll cover making garments longer or shorter, smaller or bigger, splicing two garments together, adding pockets and using original features to make something completely new.
Bring items you’d like to alter/refashion if you fancy – you might work on them during the sessions, but if not you’ll leave with the knowledge of how to tackle them. You can also just come along to learn and practise techniques.
This course runs for two days on successive Sundays in July, aimed at sewers with experience using sewing machines or who’ve completed the Learn to Sew course at Nest.
All sewing supplies and sewing machines supplied, plus tea and biscuits
If you find you cannot make it, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the space to someone else. Thank you.
