What to Expect in the Session
Decisions are an essential part of the value creation process.
In organizations, networks and communities, there must be explicit agreements on decision-making that clarify who makes decisions, how, when and with what degree of involvement from the rest of the team or other parts of the organization.
But how to allow more people to participate in decisions that affect them while remaining agile?
In this session we´re going to look at decision making mechanisms beyond voting and autocracy and experience first hand how a collective decision making process takes place.
What You’ll Walk Away With
✔ First-hand experience of a collective, generative decision-making process
✔ Practical insights into decision-making frameworks beyond voting or hierarchy
✔ A deeper understanding of participation, power-sharing, and agility in decision culture
✔ Tools and perspectives to take back to your own teams or networks
This Session Is for You If...
🧭 You’re part of a team or network struggling to make decisions inclusively and efficiently
🛠️ You design or facilitate participatory processes and want more hands-on practice
🌱 You’re exploring governance models like sociocracy, consent-based decision-making, or self-management
💬 You care about equity and want to involve more voices in shaping collective direction

Lets Make The Festival Sustainable 🌿
The Networks Festival is a self-funded initiative by Fito Network and Greaterthan. We want the festival to be accessible to all, while also meeting the material needs of our organizing team and session hosts. This is why we have chosen a gift economy approach, whereby we invite you to donate to the sessions you attend within capacity.
How much shall I contribute? We ask you to "give the most you can without overstretching or resentment”. The right amount will be very different for everyone. There are three donation tiers to guide your decision:
- Sustainability: 30 € | If everyone contributes this amount, we meet the sustainability needs of our team.
- Supporter: 45 € and above | Support others to attend.
- Accessibility: 0 to 30 € | Contribute what you can.
