Autumn Concert - Sea & Storm

An evocative evening of music inspired by the sea, nature and the human spirit.  At the heart of the programme is Dvorak's magnificent Symphony No. 7, one of the most passionate and powerful works of the Romantic repertoire. Doreen Carwithen's vibrant Overture brings dramatic energy, before Britten's iconic Four Sea Interludes immerse us in shifting moods and elemental beauty.

Local actor Paddy Lintin joins us to narrate extracts from Peter Grimes before each of Britten's Sea Interludes. We are delighted to welcome Paddy as our Emerging Artist for the Autumn Concert, with generous support from Newbury Rotary Club.
