Lecture: Archaeology & Foodways in Philadelphia
Teagan Schweitzer has a Ph.D in Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania. She specializes in foodways archaeology specifically in Philadelphia from the 18th through 20th centuries. As a zooarchaeologist, she uses animal bones from archaeological sites to learn about the historic food habits and food landscape of the people of the Delaware Valley.
