Labor Movement Workshop at Long Table Farm

Thu Jul 23, 2026 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM Long Table Farm, 06371

Farming is rewarding work... AND it can also be incredibly demanding on the body.

Join us for an interactive workshop focused on movement health and wellness for farmers. Led by Cynthia Flores at Labor-Movement, this session will explore body mechanics and movement patterns that can help reduce injury risk, improve efficiency, and support long-term physical well-being.

Together, we'll work through key movement patterns—including hinge, squat, push, and pull movements—and discuss the importance of core stability, recovery, nutrition, hydration, sleep, and stress management during long workdays and busy seasons. Participants will receive both group and individual coaching, along with practical tips they can immediately apply on the farm.

Whether you're new to farming or have been at it for decades, you'll leave with a better understanding of how to move more effectively and sustainably in your daily work.

Following the workshop, participants are invited to stay for an informal potluck and farmer social gathering.

Please note: Space is limited to 15 participants. Please register only if you can commit to attending, and let us know asap should that change.
