Registration fee is non-refundable. Requests for rescheduling will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the instructor-led session.

Age requirement: Participants in this class must 18 years of age or older.

Mental Health First Aid is a 100% virtual training for certification thru the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.

Registration fee includes training materials, instructor-led session, and a 3-year certification through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.

Class size is limited to 15-20 participants.

Part 1: Participants will complete a virtual self-paced pre-work through the Mental Health First Aid learning management system. This focuses on the purpose of MHFA, role of the First Aider, substance abuse disorders and recovery strategies. It also includes an introduction of signs and symptoms of mental health challenges that impact adults. Learners typically spend about two hours on this self-study section. The self-study portion must be completed before a student can attend the second portion of the training.

Part 2: Participants will develop skills in a live instructor-led session that lasts about 5.5 to 6 hours via zoom. Participants will engage in small group activities and develop skills on how to apply the 5-step action plan in a variety of situations.

Each participant will need:

  • Access to a webcam.
  • Separate accounts/logins for proof of attendance, testing and certification.

Upon registration, you will receive further instructions to complete pre-work.
