About:
The New Organising Conference brings people together from across the UK's movement for social & economic justice - from the grassroots to the unions, big and small, old and new, to fight for justice at work and in our communities. Focused on building power for all working people, especially those marginalised by broken systems, we believe the fight for workers’ rights is deeply connected to broader fights for racial, gender, and migrant justice. Our mission is to unite these struggles and build collective power.
NOC is made by and for organisers. The strength of the conference comes from sessions rooted in real struggles — in workplaces, neighbourhoods, campaigns and movements — and from people willing to share what they’ve learned. From hands-on skill-sharing to deep political reflection, the sessions at NOC are what make the conference truly ours.
The New Organising Conference is a 48 hour residential conference, with accommodation in single en suite rooms. Most people stay for the whole event to enjoy mingling and opportunities for collaboration. Residential tickets are fully inclusive - you don't need to pay anything extra except for drinks at the bar. Non-residential tickets and double/family rooms are also available.
Tickets cover full access to 40+ participative sessions, lots of social time (outdoors if the weather is fine) and the opportunity to raise an issue of your own in the 'Open Space' session on Saturday evening.
Annual theme:
This year our theme is Roots & Branches: Unions & Communities in Common Struggle
Sessions at NOC this year will cover:
- Stories of labour organising - both within & beyond the workplace
- Practical sessions on organising techniques and skills
- Trade unions and community groups working together
- Migrant worker organising, across sectors and borders
- Organising in the gig economy and other precarious forms of work
- Building alliances between organisers, movements and left media
- Countering fear, isolation, burnout & uncertainty
- Navigating conflict, division and fragmentation
Booking Deadlines:
Book early! It’s very hard to guarantee that everyone gets a bed if most people book at the last minute. To encourage early booking, all prices will go up by 5% after July 5th.
The absolute deadline for booking residential places is July 19th.
Ticket Types:
We want NOC to be accessible to everyone. We recognise the collective power of working people even with the cost of living at an all time high. We especially want to include those on low incomes, and those from marginalised backgrounds. So we strongly encourage you to show solidarity by paying as much as you can, to enable us to offer free and heavily subsidised places.
Email info@neworganisingconference.com explaining your situation and we'll send you a ticket access code.
Group Discounts:
Group Tickets: We offer the following reductions (on the standard price) for group bookings:
- 10% for groups of 5 from the same Union Branch.
- 15% for groups of 10 from the same organisation/Union
- 25% for groups of 20+ booked together
If you would like to book a group ticket, please email info@neworganisingconference.com to organise your booking.
