Transoceanic Music Radio

Award-winning drummer, percussionist, and producer Yayo Serka offers a solo performance rooted in live improvisation — moving between acoustic and electronic instruments while manipulating live radio signals and field recordings. Each performance unfolds in real time, shaped by the space and the moment; no two sessions are ever the same.

A groundbreaking sonic initiative, Transoceanic Music Radio explores rhythm, migration, and cultural memory through immersive programming. More than a traditional radio program, it is a platform that traces the invisible currents connecting musicians, traditions, and communities across continents. Through carefully curated programming, artist interviews, live sessions, and experimental sonic narratives, Yayo Serka invites listeners to experience music not as isolated national or genre traditions, but as flowing, interconnected rivers of human creativity. The project honors how rhythms travel, how traditions transform across oceans, and how music can be a bridge for communities seeking connection, understanding, and solidarity. An invitation to hear the world differently.
