Bug Bites Vol. 2

Want to see what is under the rock of the New York theatre scene?

Our friends at the Bug Collectors theatre collective have invited some incredible playwrights each to write a short (bite-sized) play.

The theme we ask our playwrights to tackle is “Lost to Time.” Although Casa Duse is far from lost to time, it contains props and memorabilia from productions everywhere in the world. Only in this townhouse in Brooklyn can you find a program from Our American Cousin on the night Lincoln was assassinated to a real human skull used in a production of Hamlet. When you step inside, it feels like you’ve rewound a clock and landed in a different time. But the truth is, props are not meant to sit and decay just as plays aren’t meant to just sit on a bookshelf. The theatre is alive, and so are we. Join us to watch a night of theatre about being lost to time and find yourself in the most storied and alive place in NYC.
