Quarter Auction
Quarter Auction
Need help?
Looking for some excitement and frenzy?
Well lucky you, look at what we got in store for you!
Wait... what's a quarter auction you say?
A quarter auction puts the fun of winning baskets filled with goodies, the sense of community, and the fun of socializing with friends while supporting charities.
Here's a breakdown of how it works:
- You'll check-in and receive a paddle with a number on it.
- The paddles are used to bid on auction items by holding them up when the item's number is called.
- Each paddle has a corresponding numbered chip which is placed into a drawing tumbler.
- When you purchase a ticket ($20 online and $25 at the door), you get one paddle. You can also purchase additional paddles for only $5 each.
- Once the auction begins, the host will hold up the item that's up for bid and will reveal whether the item is a "one-quarter" or "two-quarter" bid.
- If you decide to bid on the item, you will put one or two quarters (depending on what was announced) into the bucket per paddle that you wish to bid with. For example, if you have two paddles and want to bid with both of them to double your chances of winning, and the item is a "one-quarter" bid, then you put 50 cents in the bucket and raise your paddles.
- Once all of the quarters have been collected, the tumbler is shaken so that all the chips are mixed up. Then, one chip is drawn from the tumbler, and the corresponding paddle number is called out. The person holding that paddle wins the auction item!
You'll have a great time bidding on items, catching up with friends, and supporting a good cause, all at the same time.
