Recess: Play, Create, Connect
Recess is an all-ages gathering centered on play, creativity, connection and nervous-system regulation. Through movement, meditation, sounding, music, art and spontaneous creative exploration, we create space to step outside the usual demands of daily life and reconnect with curiosity, presence and play.
Shared instruments and art supplies are available, and bringing your own instruments, art supplies or other creative tools is encouraged.
There is no prescribed way to participate. You may make sound, move, create, meditate, observe, rest or follow whatever form of expression feels natural in the moment.
Recess is not about performance or producing something. It is an opportunity to explore, regulate, connect and experience creativity in community.
All ages are welcome.
Hosted by Jillian Brown and Sydan Aguacielos.
Jillian and Sydan create spaces centered on play, creativity, connection, authenticity, embodied presence, and nervous-system regulation. Through movement, meditation, sounding, music, art, and spontaneous exploration, they invite people of all ages to reconnect with curiosity, authentic self-expression, and the simple freedom of being fully present.
Their approach is experiential, inclusive, and non-hierarchical. Itβs less about being taught what to do and more about creating the conditions for people to show up as they are, explore freely, connect genuinely, and discover what feels alive for them.
