This month’s featured artist is: Tommy Ashby

Tommy Ashby’s background is a rather unusual one for a singer-songwriter. Awarded a PhD in the perception of sound in his early 20s, Tommy manages to blend a technical understanding of the way our brain processes sound with the indisputable pure creative energy of someone who grew up writing and playing music in the wilds of Scotland.

Tommy’s music has been streamed over 40 million times on Spotify and has been used on TV programs such as Grey’s Anatomy, Riviera, BBC’s Gold Digger, Love Island, Netflix’s The Innocents and NBC’s Midnight Texas. Live he has supported the likes of Jamie Lawson, Nina Nesbitt, Tom Speight and many others, as well as touring as a session guitarist for Jamie Lawson on the Ed Sheeran Divide tour around UK and Europe.

Also featuring: The Winged Pigs

The Winged Pigs is a trio of musicians playing self-penned songs on guitar, double bass, fiddle and banjo along with a variety of other instruments when the mood takes them. Each member takes it in turns to lead the singing on different songs with other members harmonising. We love to get a bit of audience participation going too.
