• Build a Power BI Report using the Power BI Desktop

• Publish your Report to the Power BI Service
• Create a Dashboard
• Create a Power BI App
• Explore features in the Power BI Service and in the Mobile App (if you have an iPhone or Android)
• Explore the Power BI Administration Center

Note:  We’ll be extracting data from Excel files that will be provided to you, eliminating both security and connectivity issues.

Advanced Preparation: A portion of class will be spent doing hands-on exercises. You will receive a link to download the sample data (Excel files) and instructions for downloading and installing the (most current) Power BI Desktop App prior to the class.  Note: Power BI Desktop requires access to the Microsoft Store OR administrative rights on your local machine; please confirm the appropriate access with your IT department prior to class. 

Delivery Method: Group Internet-based

CPE Credits: By participating in this class, you are eligible to earn up to 8 CPE credits which will be distributed following class completion. In order to be awarded the full credit hours, you must notify your instructor of your intention to request credit before the start of the first class. To receive CPE credit, you must be present and actively engaged, which will be verified using polling questions and other means. You will not receive CPE credit for any portion of the class that you do not appear fully engaged.
