Register to attend the New York Nut Growers Association 2023 Summer Meeting in Greene County and meet experienced growers.
The meeting will take place from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Columbia and Greene Counties Agroforestry Resource Center, 6055 Route 23, Acra, NY. Topics of discussion will include an introduction to CCE of Columbia and Greene Counties, summer nut orchard topics, nut tree propagation using grafting and chip budding, yellowbud hickory oil, agrivoltaics (integrating crop production, silvopasture, and solar power), and an update on the NYNGA English Walnut Project.
Attendees are welcome to bring nuts to eat, nuts to plant, nut tree products or nut-growing tools or items no longer needed to share or sell.
The New York Nut Growers Association is an all volunteer, non-profit organization that promotes nut tree growing in New York State. It's not necessary to be a member of the New York Nut Growers Association (NYNGA) to attend this meeting. A light breakfast and lunch are included in the cost of meeting registration which is $20/member, $25/non-member and $20/full-time student. An option to renew your membership is provided during checkout. Pre-registration is required to facilitate meal planning.
