WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS

Through visual presentations, hands-on activities, and real-world examples, you will develop a personal understanding of Agile Product Ownership and gain skills needed to establish a vision, align stakeholders, and confidently lead your team in delivering high-value, high-impact products and services. Some of the key concepts you'll learn in this highly practical CSPO workshop include:

• The importance of “value slicing” in decomposing big ideas and customer requests 
• How to make the shift from a Ticket Taker to a Solution Designer
• Shaping, sizing, scoring, and sequencing incoming work to reduce risk and deliver value
• The value of a Scoping Canvas in framing the problem & designing the right solution
• Powerful collaborative frameworks to move you from a reactive to proactive approach

NOTE: The CSPO workshop will include a summary of the AI tools and techniques Product Owners can use for market research, persona validation, requirements analysis, and rapid prototyping. As time and learner interests permits, we may demonstrate and apply some AI tools in our simulation.

Meet Your Instructors - Kert Peterson

Kert Peterson

Kert Peterson began his career as a Software Engineer in NASA's Space Shuttle program. His roots as a maker afford him practical insights into the daily challenges faced by testers, engineers, and creatives. Kert has been an Accredited Kanban Trainer since 2018.

Kert has guided Agile Transformations for a wide range of companies, including Fidelity Investments, Mission Health, Duke Energy, Bank of America, Dell, and Capital One Financial. Kert holds a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Texas at San Antonio and lives in Calgary, Canada with his family. He spends his spare time training Tai Chi and playing Mandolin.

Scott Gulledge

Creator and voice of the world-beloved Planet Product Owner podcast, Scott delivers actionable advice and practical "hacks" for the day-to-day product owner in a conversational, storytelling format.
