Prophet's Birthday Lecture & Celebration

An adult lecture by Sheikh Mahdi M. Shahkolahi for ages 10+ (with a concurrent children’s program) will be followed by family friendly festivities: Mawlid themed games and crafts, popcorn, henna, cotton candy, cupcakes, vendors, and a special program just for teens! Registration is required!

Event schedule: 

3:30 to 4:30pm| Adult lecture (ages 10+) and concurrent Children's program (ages 2-10)

4:30 to 6:00pm| Family-friendly festivities

5:00 to 6:00pm| Teen program

Sheikh Mahdi M. Shahkolahi is a PhD student at Georgetown University and a graduate of the Islamic Seminary of Qom, where he studied traditional Islamic studies for nearly a decade with a focus on fiqh, theology, and philosophy. He currently teaches Islamic and religious studies at Mizan Institue, Mufid Academic Seminary, and George Mason University.
