Description

Special workshop is happening in Austin next month! Whether you are an ASL student or seasoned ASL interpreter, you will greatly benefit from this one-day workshop! Bill Ross is one of the top interpreter-trainers in the nation, and he will be teaching this workshop in Austin on Wednesday, June 22nd (right before the TSID conference!) This two-part workshop will happen on this day from 9:30 AM- 12:00 Noon, have a lunch break, then again from 1:30-4:00 PM.

"Being Comfortable in the Uncomfortable" will help you address voice interpreting, semantic intent, expansion techniques, and developing realistic and tangible goals. This professional studies workshop is approved for .5 PS CEUs at the "some" level for all interpreters under both RID and BEI. See lots more info on the flyer.

Cost is only $40 for this all-day workshop. Deadline to register is Friday, June 17th. Space is limited to the first 40 persons. June 18th or after, or at the door, price increases to $50 per person if space is available.

This is happening concurrently with the National Deaf Culture Fellowship "NF Convention" of the Assemblies of God happening at Huston-Tillotson University, 900 Chicon Street, Austin, Texas 78702. All this campus is fully accessible. This means you can have lunch and hang around with over 100 Deaf/HH/DB persons, and/or attend the free worship services at 7:00 PM each evening.
