Genomic medicine is an important factor within the field of cardiology. Alongside having an established role in rarer, inherited cardiac conditions, genomics is going to have a greater role in assessment and management of common cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and coronary disease.
To mark Heart Month 2026, Central and South Genomics is hosting a webinar on genomics in cardiology. Presented by a range of experts, attendees can expand their knowledge on predicting, identifying and treating cardiac conditions through genomic medicine. A range of topics will be explored in this webinar, including:
- Heart attack prevention
- Living with inherited cardiac conditions
- Sudden cardiac death
- Cascade testing
- Mainstreaming
- Understanding test results
- Consent after death
There will be a Q&A session to ask the experts any questions you may have. Anyone can attend this webinar, which is free to join, whether you're a healthcare professional or an interested member of the public. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
