The SCW Improving Immunisation Uptake Team are excited to offer a free informative one hour training session aimed at general practice administrative staff, with a focus on administration processes and procedures as well as gaining a knowledge and understanding of childhood immunisations. Reception and administration staff are often the first point of contact within general practice, this training session will help administrative staff build confidence and covers a wide range of topics including:
- An introduction into the SCW Child Health Information Service and Improving Immunisation Uptake Team
- An Introduction into the national immunisation schedule, the importance of childhood immunisations and key issues affecting immunisation uptake rates
- New registration processes, best practice guidance and recommended practice processes for immunisations
- Where to find further support and who to contact if you have questions around childhood immunisations and best practice processes
This training session will be offered on a quarterly basis with a range of times and days available each quarter to offer flexibility for attendance. The 1-hour session will be virtual and will be delivered by an experienced clinician and data administrator working within SCW.
There will be an opportunity for Q&As at the end of the session and a support pack will be shared with all attendees for further reading and reference as and when needed.
