Button Making - Introduction to the Yorkshire Button and the Suffolk Puff

Discover the Yorkshire Button and the Suffolk Puff, two 17th century heritage crafts and let your creativity do the rest! Come and unwind, socialise and have a laugh with this 3-hour workshop with a choice of projects: mini pincushion, brooch, mini doll, a chick or a pocket hug... Delicious cake with tea or coffee are included.  

Sandrine will provide you with everything you need, show you the techniques for both crafts, with loads of extra tips along the way. This is a project-based workshop, which means that at the end of it, not only will you be able to make a basic Yorkshire button and a Suffolk Puff (also known as a yoyo or apparently a Yorkshire daisy), but you will take home a beautiful finished project of your own choice. Options include a pincushion, a cute little chick or other animal, or an adorable small doll. You will also take home the looms which you need to make your Yorkshire buttons and plenty of extra material to have more practice at home.
