Overview

Photo Walk Tours are perfect for photography amateurs or enthusiasts who would like to learn how to use their cameras intuitively and creatively and see an immediate improvement in their skills and capture stunning images during one single, practical session.

Our local coastlines, cities, towns and countryside offer huge potential for taking beautiful photographs….but it can be a challenge to take the photos that match the spectacular images our eyes see! With my guidance, we will fix all of that.

I keep groups small to provide a bespoke service on my photo tours so that I can maintain my supportive, attendee-centred approach. If you just want guidance in shooting, then I’ll show you how to configure and use your camera to its fullest potential, but if you do want to know technical detail then we will do that too.  Whatever your learning style, the aim is to help you create stunning images that you’ll be really proud of.

Course Content

• Half a day course in Bristol
• Pre-shoot introduction with refreshments to discuss the plan for the session and learn a bit more about your camera functions
• Photo tour on foot where you will shoot alongside me and I will provide guidance on composition, technique and settings
• Image review and wrap-up chat.
• A meeting point (a café or pub usually, such as Arnolfini) and our planned walking route will be provided before the tour start date.

Who is it for?

Photographers of any ability or experience benefit hugely from these walks. The only prerequisite is to have a basic understanding of how to use your camera. If you are totally new to using a camera it is recommended that you attend my Photographer Unleashed workshop before booking the Photography Walking Tour.

Pre-requisites:

You will need to bring any DSLR or Mirrorless (Compact System Camera) and lens and ideally a tripod (but don't worry, I have one you can borrow)
It is also useful to have a set of ND (Neutral Density) although not essential. Please contact us if you’d like advice on this.

Other

This course takes place late afternoon to make the most of sunset opportunities.
