We’ve all said this at some point, and it simply means we are not confident at using artificial light effectively or reliably.

This workshop changes all of that and following your session with with Nick Church you will leave with all the confidence and instictive knowledge to take your work to the next level.

Through theory and practical sessions delivered at the Nick Church Photography Studio, we will have you shooting subtle and beautiful portraits through to dynamic dance-floor shots full of energy and atmosphere. All driven through a newly acquired core understanding of the topic, and not a harsh, crime-scene photo in sight!

Course Content:

• Lighting and placement techniques
• On and Off camera flash
• Manual and TTL modes and when/how to use them
• Single and Multiple flash
• Creative flash such as dragging the shutter
• Deep dive into stunning portraits, rich documentary shots and vibrant party shots

Who is it for?

This course is useful for wedding, event, studio or product photographers that are confident in natural light but struggle when the light fades and find their work and client-base limited by this.

Also, whether in a studio or at a event, photographers that have problems with consistency and quality of final shot should attend the course.

Pre-requisites:

Full-frame, APS-C camera system, flash unit(s) and a way to trigger your flash(es) remotely. You are welcome to use Nick's setup, but the best results come from you getting used to using your own kit.
