Music-based communication interventions in neurorehab: strategies, ideas, & innovations

This practical webinar is designed for SLTs, NMTs and clinicians wanting to use music-based interventions to support communication, speech, and cognitive-communication skills for adult patients in neurorehabilitation settings. The 2-hour session introduces key concepts from music and auditory neuroscience and how these can be integrated into everyday clinical practice to support with some of the following goal areas:

• optimising arousal
• strengthening respiration
• improving breath control
• increasing articulatory control
• triggering automatic speech
• synthesising communication areas
• initiating use of Total Communication
