Thursday, October 22: What Employers Need to Know about Today's Student Talent.
Today's students and early-career workers are bringing new perspectives, expectations, and strengths to the workplace. As employers compete for talent, understanding what motivates the next generation of workers can help organizations recruit more effectively and improve retention. Join us for a candid discussion about what employers need to know to successfully engage emerging talent. Common questions employers are asking include:
- How important is workplace flexibility to today's students?
- What does work-life balance mean to emerging talent?
- What career growth opportunities do students expect?
- How can supervisors provide meaningful feedback and support?
- What factors influence whether students accept and stay in a position?
Join NKU's Liz Juszczyk, Executive Director of the Norse Network Hub, for an engaging discussion on recruiting students for full- and part-time employment. Drawing on insights from employers, students, and workforce professionals, Liz will share current trends, common misconceptions, and proven approaches for attracting, engaging, and retaining Northern Kentucky's emerging workforce.
