Want to gain skills on how to use PUSH live in your set up?
This is a deep dive to get you on your way to being proficient in using DAW Ableton Live and the PUSH consoles.
You will learn the basics of Ableton Live.
Then deep dive into how you create your own music, how to structure it and how to incorporate Ableton Live into your performance.
The 2 day course is for beginners and suitable for those who attended the Intro course.
Classes are restricted to 10 participants.

Intro to Ableton Live Layout and features and what each one does:
Session/Live view
Tracks, Volume/Fader Control
Instruments/Effects Panel
Playback, Recording, Editing Tools
Tempo
Exporting projects into audio tracks for playback outside of Ableton
Midi Programming and Audio
What a sequencer and how it all works
Monophonic and polyphonic instruments
Chords/Scales/Key controls
Intro, Verse, Chorus, Outro
Creating your own instruments
Creating your own drum pads from scratch
Creating samples and adding them to a sampler
Converting Midi clips into audio
Different ways of manipulating audio clips
Ableton Push/Midi Controllers
Overview of what midi controllers do
What Midi keyboards and other controllers can be applied to
What Ableton Push allows the user to do
Day 2:
Mastering
What Mastering does to instruments and audio
Using effects
Creative uses of effects
Live Processing
How you can control effects as instruments
The potential of Midi and use with other software such as Max/msp and Touchdesigner

About Oliver:
Oliver ‘Vincent Eclipse’ Stewart has been writing and performing electronic music
the last twelve years.
Coming from a background of University trained Electro-Acoustic Music, his own personal solo work is
a vehicle for experimenting and incorporating with electronic music and video media.
For his day job Oliver is the Audio Visual Tech, Audio Visual Tutor at the School of Arts, University of
Waikato, where he showcases and presents to students about the possibilities of
Ableton Live and Push consoles. He is currently working towards becoming a certified trainer with Ableton.
