The Garden Table
The Garden Table
A day of flowers food and creating
Askham Hall
We’ll start the morning with relaxed drawing and a few simple experiments — hopefully outside under the blossom trees in the grounds of Askham Hall. It’s an easy, informal start, just getting your eye in and enjoying being there.
Lunch is served in the conservatory at Askham Hall. Afterwards, we’ll head out into the gardens with head gardener Colin Myers. He knows the place inside out, and it’s a chance to see what’s growing, what’s just coming through, and notice things you’d otherwise walk past.
The afternoon is spent creating your own botanical pieces on canvas using acrylics — taking inspiration from everything you’ve seen.
Come on your own or bring a friend — it’s an easy, welcoming day either way.
