First Thursdays Forage on the Farm
Come on out to Raleigh City Farm and take a walking plant tour with local herbalist, LeAnna Cargman. We’ll discuss in season beneficial freeloaders aka weeds, focusing on:
- Identification
- Safe & ethical foraging practices
- History & lore
- How to transform our discoveries into food, craft, or medicine.
Weed walks are always different depending on the time of year, so there’s always something new to smell, taste, discover, & learn!
Nomadic Roots Herbal’s mission is to deepen our understanding of the natural world through a unique blend of science, discovery, and tapping into the wonder of our intuitive knowing. Gatherings are built on a foundation of botany, Materia medica, herbal history, & folklore to paint a detailed picture of plants as part of our community rather than a commodity.
Foraging walks are designed for 12+ but all are welcome.
