NOOL (நூல்) | UK Premiere Screening (inc Subtitles)

Join us for the UK Premiere of Nool (நூல்), a British Tamil short film written and directed by Sharanan Easwaran. Produced by Eagle Studio Productions. 

Set in London, Nool tells the story of Ponnampalam, an elderly Eelam Tamil tailor whose quiet routine is interrupted when Nila, a young British Tamil art student arrives into his shop. What begins as a simple encounter gradually unfolds into a moving exploration of memory, identity and the unspoken experiences that connect two generations.

Nool reflects on family, displacement, grief and healing, celebrating the resilience of a community while honouring the stories that are often left untold.

Following the screening, members of the cast and crew will take part in a live Q&A, sharing their experiences of bringing the film to life and answering questions from the audience.
